La Pitchoune in the French Riviera

In February, word got out that Julia Child’s former home in Provence had been taken over by new owners, Yvonne and Makenna Johnston, who were planning to turn the space into a cooking school/yoga retreat.

Plans are still in the works for La Peetch: Center for Food, Culture and Community, which is scheduled to launch in 2017, but in the meantime, travelers and foodies will now be able to rent out the property as a vacation home via Airbnb.

The rate for the 3 bedroom cottage, located near the town of Chateauneuf, is $590/night (5 night minimum).

For true Julia fans — and perhaps the best part about staying in the cottage —  you’ll actually be able to cook in the late great chef’s kitchen. The space hasn’t changed all that much since Child occupied the home in the 1990s and is similar to her Cambridge, Massachusetts kitchen, which is housed in the Smithsonian. But don’t even think about walking away with any priceless artifacts from the historic kitchen, the Airbnb listing advises that a there is a Dropcam that monitors the kitchen to make sure the space remains in mint condition.

The Airbnb listing has a ton of great photos of the property, so be sure to check it out.
